These baked doughnuts are rich, chocolatey, and sweet enough to feel indulgent without being sugary. The amped up chocolatey-ness comes from the espresso powder and hot coffee mixed into the batter.
Coffee shop style baked goods are my favorite comfort food and these baked doughnuts are no exception. Tender cake with warm notes of vanilla and nutmeg. Make no mistake though, these are not diet food. They are just as deliciously decadent as the classic.
Swedish Cardamom Buns, known as Kardemummabullar in Sweden, were one of the best pastries I made last year. Twisted strands of soft dough slathered with a buttery spread that’s been drenched in cardamom. Incredible.
